British Sign Language at Scottish Stations

Region & Locations: Scotland Region | Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central Stations

BSL Glasgow

Network Rail has been working hard to create an inclusive and accessible railway through continued work across our managed stations.  This can be shown in particular at Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central stations where, in collaboration with the British Deaf Association (BDA) Scotland, we have installed the first information boards that include British Sign Language (BSL).

This has been implemented on both the main and sub boards across these two station in order to assist more BSL users feel more confident to travel independently and use our network. The successes of Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central stations have led to more stations looking to add BSL to their information boards, which creates a more inclusive railway and helps more people access the network.
