Motspur Park Footbridge

Network Rail, in association with Merton Council and the Department for Transport (DfT), have been working hard at Motspur Park Station to create an inclusive and accessible railway for all potential passengers through the ‘Access for All’ scheme.  This scheme was established to create obstacle free, accessible routes from station entrance to platform.

To do this, a new covered footbridge was installed across the station along with step-free lift access to all platforms where better lighting and security cameras have been installed.  Not only this, but an accessible toilet and a brand new waiting room have also been built at the station to improve the atmosphere and wellbeing of passengers.

This enhancement of the station has also positively impacted the local community and economy due to the Fulham Football Club Foundation being nearby who are trying to encourage young people to get involved in sport and community activities, and having an accessible network can help this local charity achieve their goal.
